EXANTE keyed-in model guide

Status: documentation-based preparation; xPortfolios setup and external-file import are not verified. This checklist covers manually entered percentage targets in the desktop Allocator, subject to your firm's enabled permissions.

EXANTE's Allocator guide describes Asset Models, Account Sets and order review. It states that existing positions may be included or closed and cannot simply be ignored. Use a strategy-dedicated account. Do not apply this workflow to an account with unrelated holdings until their treatment has been demonstrated.

Prepare the allocation

Download the complete generic CSV or XLSX through partner access. Generic 0.05 means 5%. Confirm the decision ID, effective time, current targets, cash remainder and zero-weight exits against the file review guide.

In percentage mode the model weights apply to each account's configured Investment Amount. Confirm that amount separately from account value and free balance: a 5% target on $20,000 is $1,000. A file does not configure the allocation amount.

Key in and inspect

  1. Open Allocator in the desktop platform. Under Setup, use Asset Model to enter the exact instruments and percentage targets; avoid absolute-quantity mode for a weights-based model.
  2. Match each stock's share class, ISIN where supplied, exchange and currency. Confirm zero-weight exits and retained targets; do not substitute a different listing, ADR or CFD.
  3. Review the Account Set and Investment Amount for every included account. In Order Placement select the model and account set, then inspect the calculated quantities and prices before order creation or confirmation.
  4. For an existing model, use its Rebalance workflow to review the changed targets and proposals. Have the authorised operator demonstrate when model changes become effective and when orders are sent. Stop at preview during workflow qualification.

The partner controls order approval and execution. A model's indicative entries and exits do not replace checking actual holdings, cash, open orders and rounding in each account.

Qualify the weekly process

Demonstrate initial allocation, a rotation with exits, a later-joining client, a skipped update, a correction, a repeated model update and the treatment of unrelated holdings. Use a stable decision ID to avoid treating another download as another allocation. After missed weeks, compare actual holdings with complete current targets and history; do not replay old orders.

Record the desktop version, Account Set, investment basis, exact securities and proposal outcome in the authorised trial. No xPortfolios compatibility claim is made until that setup is verified. Integration and verification ยท Shared file review rules.
