Saxo keyed-in model guide
Status: documentation-based preparation; xPortfolios setup and external-file import are not verified. This is a manual model-entry checklist for a partner with SaxoConnect and Model Manager access. It does not claim a CSV upload feature or prescribe unverified button names.
Saxo documents investment models, scheduled and ad-hoc rebalancing, and institutional account configurations in its wealth management and SaxoConnect overview. Availability and controls must be demonstrated in your firm's configuration.
Prepare the allocation
Use a strategy-dedicated account. A 5% model target means 5% of the amount the platform rebalances; confirm whether that is the whole account or a separately configured sleeve. A file cannot isolate part of an account. Keep unrelated holdings outside that allocation unless your platform workflow has been verified to preserve them.
Download the current generic CSV or XLSX through your partner access. In these files 0.05 means 5%. Read the file review guide for decision IDs, effective times, corrections and cash remainders.
Key in and inspect
- Have your platform administrator demonstrate Model Manager access and the firm's review-only workflow before any account assignment.
- Create or select the strategy model in that demonstrated workflow. Enter each exact stock listing and target percentage from the generic file; match share class, ISIN where available, exchange and currency.
- Include the full current model and review every zero-weight exit against the earlier model and actual holdings. Do not replace an unsupported line with an ADR, CFD or similar ticker.
- Confirm the allocation basis and the intended client accounts with the operator. Preview proposed orders using actual cash, holdings, open orders and platform constraints.
- Compare the proposals with the current model and account state. Your firm's authorised operator controls approval and execution; xPortfolios publishes targets.
Qualify the weekly process
Demonstrate initial allocation, weekly rotation, a later-joining client, a skipped update, a correction and a repeat import or manual update. Check that unrelated holdings survive as intended. A stable decision ID prevents processing a repeated download as a new allocation; after missed weeks, reconcile the account with current targets and history rather than replaying old orders.
Record the platform version, enabled modules, account basis, exact instruments and review outcome during your trial. This guide remains unverified until that evidence exists. Integration and verification ยท Shared file review rules.
