Rebalance your clients’ Saxo and IBKR accounts every week.

Every week we publish new target weights for all twelve portfolios. At Saxo we connect read-only to the accounts you choose, show how far each one has drifted and preview its trades. At IBKR we give you a file that Trader Workstation turns into orders. Your team releases every trade; we never place one.

Saxo

  • A read-only link to your firm’s Saxo login, with each account enrolled in one portfolio.
  • Drift for every account, every weekday night, with flags when an account needs rebalancing.
  • A whole-share rebalance preview per account: sells first, then buys in the model’s order while cash lasts.
  • A weights sheet for Saxo’s Model Manager, with every stock matched to its Saxo instrument by ISIN.
  • A next-day check of which accounts were rebalanced, and one reminder for those that were not.

IBKR

  • A Rebalance file for Trader Workstation’s Rebalance Portfolio tool, ready to import every week.
  • Every current stock at its target, and every stock the model sold that week at 0%, so TWS sells it.
  • An optional share of the account, so the portfolio runs beside a client’s other investments.
  • US stocks labelled the way TWS expects (SMART/AMEX), checked in a paper account.
  • The same file through the partner portal, the API, a ZIP of all your portfolios or SFTP.

How a week works at Saxo

Saxo’s Model Manager takes no uploaded file, so we do the work around it: we tell you which accounts are off target, what each would trade and, the next night, whether it was done.

  1. Connect once

Your administrator signs in to Saxo from our partner portal. We ask Saxo for read access only: there is no trading permission to grant, and our connection cannot place an order.

  2. Enrol each account

We list your Saxo clients and their accounts. Put each account in one of the twelve portfolios and mark any company a client cannot hold; that company’s weight stays in cash.

  3. We read every night

Every weekday at 23:30 UTC, after the US close, we read each enrolled account’s holdings, cash and open orders. Accounts in other currencies are valued with Saxo’s own exchange rates.

  4. See drift and the trades

Each account shows how far it is from its portfolio, flagged when a holding is more than 3 percentage points off or more than 5% of the account would trade. A whole-share preview lists the sells and buys.

  5. Rebalance in Saxo

When a new weekly decision is published, key its weights sheet into your Saxo Model Manager model and release the rebalance in Saxo. The sheet gives each stock’s Saxo instrument, ISIN and target weight.

  6. We check it was done

The next night we compare each account with the new targets: implemented, partly implemented or not yet. After 3 US trading days we send one email reminder, unless your team marked the decision as done or not followed.

The preview is an estimate at our last closing prices or Saxo’s; Model Manager and your own checks decide the actual orders. Both drift limits can be set for your firm. Account records are kept for 24 months by default, and your administrator can disconnect Saxo or delete all Saxo data from the portal at any time.

How a week works at IBKR

Trader Workstation reads our file directly: one import per account turns the new weekly targets into orders for your team to check.

  1. Download the file

Take the IBKR Rebalance file from the partner portal, the API or SFTP. If the portfolio is only part of the account, set its share: at 30%, every 5% target becomes 1.5%.

  2. Import into TWS

Open Rebalance Portfolio in Trader Workstation, clear earlier targets and import the file: the twenty stocks at their targets and, at 0%, each stock the model has just sold.

  3. Review and send

TWS sizes every target on the account’s value and creates the orders. Stocks at 0% are sold in full; holdings that are not in the file are left alone. Your team checks the orders and sends them.

The file only lists the stocks the model holds now and the ones it sold that week. If an account skips a week, set any earlier sale to 0% in Rebalance Portfolio before creating orders.

What we have tested

Saxo

Verified end to end in Saxo’s simulation environment on 28 September 2026: sign-in, account discovery, enrolment, the nightly read of a euro account, all twenty stocks matched to Saxo instruments, drift, the rebalance preview and the implementation check.

Simulation-verified · not yet run on a live Saxo account

IBKR

Verified in an IBKR paper account on 22 September 2026: the file loaded, TWS sized each order on the account’s value, sold stocks at 0% in full and left other holdings alone, also with a 30% account share. The orders were created, not sent.
